Our December blog explored the potential changes to road user charges (RUCs) for Electric Vehicles (EVs) and Plug-in Hybrids. Fast forward to today, and what was once a topic of discussion has now become a reality. The government has officially announced a policy shift regarding RUCs, impacting these eco-friendly modes of transportation.
Transport Minister Simeon Brown has hinted at a potential shift in New Zealand’s road funding mechanism. While no plans are currently set, Brown has discussed that Electric Vehicles (EVs) will be subject to Road User Charges (RUCs) in 2024.
Previously, undertaking off-road claim backs has been a difficult and time-consuming process for your drivers and admin staff - that’s why we created RUC Collect. This feature takes all of the hassle out of organising, collating and submitting Road User Charges (RUC) off-road claims and allows you to easily manage Road User Licences, Claims and Claim History all in one simple-to-use, convenient place.
Implementing GPS tracking and fleet management systems has become essential for optimising fleet operations, enhancing safety, and boosting overall efficiency. However, introducing this technology to the workplace can be met with resistance, particularly from employees who may be concerned about privacy issues.
If you manage a fleet of vehicles, you probably know the challenges of keeping operations smooth and cost-effective. This is where GPS tracking steps in like a trusted ally, offering real-time visibility, improved driver safety, and potential cost savings.
